Christ and the Local Church My HopeI was saved as a child of 12, but my experiences of the Lord were very limited. Years later, when I was pregnant with my first child, I came to meet with the believers in the local church. I was first attracted by the love and caring of the brothers and sisters, but I have to say I continued meeting because I was being nourished in the truth of God's word. For the first time I was able to experience the effectiveness of Jesus' blood for my sinful nature and to know the forgiveness of sins with repentance. I also saw that in baptism I was transferred from the world into the kingdom of His love. I now had a new life in me! I was one with God in Christ and with His Body. Second Timothy 2:11 states: “Faithful is the word: For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him.” For the past 25 years living with Christ has been my peace and joy and my purpose on this earth. Through the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee and the word of God I have not only been shown the fundamentals of living in Christ, but also the deep truths of God's purpose. God wants to be our life supply. He wants to spread to every part of our being until we are the expression of Christ. Then he will be able to come back for His perfect bride. What a merciful God we have! He loves us all, even me. I have to say that in 25 years of meeting with the local church, each time I have met with the believers I have received the pure word of God, encouragement in my spirit, and hope for my daily living.
